This cookie policy refers exclusively to the Sellmasters.it site and any landing pages and must be understood as an integral part of the Privacy Policy published on the Site.
1. WHAT ARE COOKIES
Cookies are small text strings that sites visited by the user send to the user's terminal (usually to the browser, e.g., Chrome, Firefox, and Safari), where they are stored to be relayed back to the same sites on the next visit by the same user (e.g., log-in data, language chosen, font size, other display settings).
Cookies can remain on the computer or mobile device with which the user is browsing for different periods of time: so-called session cookies are automatically deleted when the browser is closed; so-called persistent cookies remain on the user's equipment until a predetermined expiration date.
In the course of browsing a site, you may receive cookies from the site you are visiting and cookies from different sites or web servers. The former are usually referred to as first-party or own cookies and the latter as third-party cookies.
Cookies are also distinguished with reference to the different purposes for which they are applied. Technical cookies are used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communication network, or to the extent strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user (e.g., to perform computer authentication, session monitoring, storage of specific information about users accessing a web page). These are cookies that are essential for the operation of the site and/or necessary to perform activities requested by the user. Analytical/statistical cookies, on the other hand, are used to collect information, usually in aggregate form, about users' browsing and site traffic. Profiling cookies are intended to identify user preferences in order to improve and personalize the user's browsing experience and/or send the user marketing communications in line with the preferences expressed while browsing.
Under applicable privacy regulations, technical cookies do not require prior consent from the user for their use. Among technical cookies, the Data Protection Authority ("Guarantor") (see "Guidelines cookies and other tracking tools - June 10, 2021") also includes: (i) "analytics"/anonymous statistical cookies, used directly by the site operator to collect information, in aggregate and anonymous form, about the number of users and how they visit the site, if tools are adopted to reduce the identifying power of the cookies and the third party providing the cookies does not cross-reference the information collected with other information it already has; (ii) navigation or session cookies that ensure normal navigation and enjoyment of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate on site); and (iii) functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a set of criteria aimed at improving the service rendered to the user.
Profiling cookies, on the other hand, are applied only if the user has consented to them. The Guarantor includes analytical cookies among profiling cookies, and therefore the user's prior consent is required for them, when no tools are adopted to reduce the identifying power of the cookies and the third party cross-references the information collected with others it already has (see June 9, 2022 Order).
2. WHAT COOKIES ARE ON THE SITE
We use our own cookies and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies on our Site for the following purposes: technical navigation cookies to enable navigation and enjoyment of the Site; technical functionality cookies, used to enable specific features of the Site; subject to your consent, cookies or other profiling tracking technologies, aimed at observing your use of the Site and its content to detect your preferences and outline profiles related to you, in order to customize our marketing communications and browsing experience in line with the preferences you express while browsing; first- and third-party anonymous analytical/statistical cookies to collect information, in an anonymized form, about how users visit the Site and to track traffic on the Site in order to improve the browsing experience. The information collected by the latter cookies is processed in aggregate and anonymous form and therefore, since it is not personal data, the user's prior consent to its installation is not required. With reference to third-party cookies, it should be noted that the web servers providing such cookies act as independent data controllers and therefore the user is invited to consult the relevant privacy notices and consent forms.
For a list of cookies on the Site, please refer to the cookie bar accessible by clicking on the button located in the lower right area of the Site screen.
Please note that the Site may also use technical, functional and non-anonymized analytical cookies for tracking and profiling purposes only to the extent that the user has given the relevant consent for the activation and use of profiling cookies.
3. HOW TO CHANGE SETTINGS PERTAINING TO COOKIES
The user can make a choice and specifically indicate which cookies to allow when first accessing the Site, via the appropriate cookie banner. Also thereafter, the user can, at any time, review his or her choices regarding the cookie setting.
Users can also set preferences on the use of cookies through their browsers. Instructions for enabling or disabling cookies via a browser are available on each browser's site (e.g., Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
For more information on how to reject cookies, you can refer to the "help" section of your browser or visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
You can always refuse cookies other than those that are strictly necessary, however, blocking technical cookies could result in your inability to use the Site, view content and use related services; blocking functionality cookies could limit the availability or proper functionality of some services or certain features of the Site and force you to manually enter certain information or preferences each time you visit the Site; blocking other categories of cookies, however, would not affect the operation of the Site.
